Grant High School's Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs) were recently modified in conjunction with our Accreditation process. School staff, students, and parents working in Focus Groups were asked to select expected schoolwide learning results for schoolwide focus. Several general themes emerged into the following four areas that became the basis for the ESLRs:

- Master skills and concepts outlined by the California Content Standards
- Demonstrate higher-level thinking processes, including creative and decision-making skills
- Work effectively independently, and in cooperative groups
- Are dependable and reliable
- Complete assigned tasks and demonstrate a good work ethic
- Manage time well
- Give back to their community
- Demonstrate responsible behavior
- Respect others and are culturally sensitive
- Comprehend and articulate information
- Share ideas in oral and written form
- Communicate in a variety of ways
