Fall Semester starts September 13, 2010
ELECTRONIC DEVICES POLICY
 
All electronic devices (music/audio players, mobile phones, cameras, audio/video recorders, MP3 players, and iPods) when used, displayed, or turned ON during instructional time will be confiscated, and a parent/guardian will be required to pick them up from Assistant Principal’s Office, on FRIDAYS ONLY. There will be $ 5.00 processing fee for any electronic device returned before Friday.
 
Consequences:
  • 1st Offense: staff confiscates electronic device to be logged in to Admission Office; only a parent/ guardian may pick up the device from the Admissions Office at the day’s end.
  • 2nd Offense: staff confiscates electronic device to be logged in to Admission Office. Student is assigned an after school detention. Only a parent/guardian may pick up the device from the Admissions Office, next school day, AFTER the student has successfully served detention.
  • 3rd Offense: staff confiscates electronic device to be logged in to Admission Office. Student is assigned a Saturday Campus Clean Up. Only a parent/guardian may pick up the device from the Admissions Office, AFTER the student has successfully served Saturday Campus Clean Up.
 
GHS students are not to bring electronic devices to school. All electronic devices brought to school will be at the owner’s own risk. GHS assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen student electronic devices. However, lost or stolen confiscated items may be reimbursed up to $50.00.
