College Prep & Digital Arts Magnet Named a School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America!!

Ulysses S. Grant College Prep and Digital Arts Magnet has been named a National Merit School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools. This is the third year in a row that Grant’s CPDA magnet has earned distinction; in 2024, Grant’s CPDA Magnet was named a Top School of Excellence; in 2023, Grant’s CPDA Magnet was named a School of Excellence.

The Grant High School College Prep and Digital Arts (CPDA) Magnet is a vibrant, dynamic program established to foster academic growth, positive behavior, and unity on campus.  The CPDA Magnet provides a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged. Grant and the CPDA Magnet students benefit from our proximity to Los Angeles Valley Community College, our partner in concurrent enrollment classes.  Grant CPDA students integrate 21st century digital arts with a new spirit of college-readiness.

Presentation of Excellence Award:                 

Grant’s Principal Rebecca McMurrin and CPDA Coordinator Andrea Caruso will be recognized and receive a National Merit School of Excellence Award on behalf of the school during an awards ceremony held at Magnet Schools of America’s National Conference April 7-10, 2025, in Nashville.

Merit School of Excellence Awards are only given to a select group of magnet schools.
