About Mrs. Pariser
Born and raised a valley girl, Mrs. Pariser grew up just minutes from Grant High School. After high school, she joined the activists and nerds of Oberlin College in Ohio, where she graduated with High Honors in English after completing her quintessentially Oberlinian (i.e. quirky) thesis on the metaphysical significance of jar/vessel metaphors in modern and contemporary poetry. She then moved to New York City, where she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Literature through the Bard College MAT Program.
After launching her teaching career at schools in Brooklyn and Harlem, Mrs. Pariser moved back to LA to teach at her alma mater, the Cleveland Humanities Magnet. And in 2016, Mrs. Pariser found her home at the Grant College Prep & Digital Arts Magnet...the rest is history!
In her free time, Mrs. Pariser enjoys cooking and exploring local restaurants, doing jigsaw puzzles, and of course, working her way through whatever works of literature she can get her hands on!
